All Cars Club presents the Tarrawatta Stages, Round 1 of the 2008
South Australian Rally Championship.
The Walkerville All Cars
Club and the organisers of the Tarrawatta Stages have announced
a major prize pool for competitors, with over $5000 of prizes up
for grabs at the newest event in the South Australian Rally Championship
series.
Held on Saturday 26th
April, the fully pacenoted event comprises 11 special stages held
over 126 kilometers of some of the State’s best rally roads.
In an innovative move,
4WD and 2WD competitors will have equal prize-winning opportunity
with a $500, $300 & $200 reward for the placegetters in each
class respectively.
In another first, placegetters
in a new ‘handicap’ class will also receive the same
generous prize-structure, giving all competitors an opportunity
for their performances to be rewarded.
In addition, a prize-pool
of key rally products will also be awarded to assist crews with
further participation in further events in the series.
Interstate competitors
looking to gain pacenote experience on the tricky SA stages will
also be rewarded with the ‘Challenge of Champions’ trophy.
Entries are already flowing
in with many high-profile ARC crews keen to drive some of the best
rally roads in the state and use the event for test and development
before the Rally of SA in August.
With the Bremen Valley
stages not being used for many years, ‘local knowledge’
is at a minimum, which is sure to create a more level playing field
and a fresh challenge for both the SA and interstate crews.
Supp Regs are now available
online at www.sarally.com.au. Entries close on April 18 with the
event limited to 60 crews.
The Tarrawatta Stages is Round 1 of the 2008 South Australian Rally
Championship and is based in Murray Bridge, 45 minutes from Adelaide.
